I had a electronic control module on my air conditioner compressor taken out by ants last year. They didn't eat it, but it was a cozy, dry, warm place and the ants liked it there. So they lingered, and it got warmer, and eventually some electronic part gave out.

But electronic-eating ants? Kinda like Andromeda Strain in slo-mo.
