Yes, I do have practical uses for that many cores. It would make a couple of projects of mine go a LOT faster. :D

You'd need lots of memory, of course, but then you could set up a bunch of independent VMs and... Multi-box! :)

I could run my own private WoW server.. Or network attached storage while hosting TS and several games... It'd by my dedicated LAN server box.. All games all the time!
