Funny, I got an email asking if I'd come back to planetside, and if I would be interested in a sequel.

I didn't put much stock in there actually being some pursuit of a sequel. Interesting.

PS was a lot of fun. It was worth the monthly subscription, IMO if for nothing else than timely patches and bug fixes. I've been playing WoW since its' release, and I don't mind paying for it, namely for content updates, bug fixes, etc. I don't buy many other games a year, but playing one pay mmo isn't a huge drain on the budget, and I don't know, I feel more invested (pardon the pun) in my characters and what happens in the game. I doubt my PC will handle PS Next, but if I manage an upgrade in the future, I may check it out, see what's new.
