You know how I spent ALL YEAR looking for a car and then I found one. Well now I'm going through the mental gymnastics of squeezing a "new" (less than 40k mi) car into my budget. My goals this time are: * Coupe or roadster * Under $20k * Newer than '00 and fewer than 40k mi ATM I'm thinking: Toyota... Celica or MR-S, no GM (have a developing grudge against GM), VW... Jetta?, Ford... Mustang (doubt it), Honda? Problems this time: * Need a fulltime/2nd job (currently making $70/wk which covers food and parking) I was planing on relaxing until November and then getting more of a job to start paying tuition for next quarter. Savings covered this quarter, and tuition next quarter is $550/mo (will need $300+/wk) Currently I've got my heart set on a white little MR-S, but it will most likely sell before I can get a downpayment together. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/frown.gif ALT=":("> Well, anywho... gotta run... the job hunt it on! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> COLORS!

but I'm on the 5 year debt plan... spend as much as I make, but only take out loans that end before I get out of college. :P actually I may end up w/ a $400/wk job (that's what I'll be taking in) so I can spend $280/wk on school, car, gas, food, parking, etc and still put $120 in teh piggy bank. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> (/me prays he didn't just jynx that!) Or if I don't get the car, then I can put $210/wk in the bank instead. COLORS!

Don't get a mustang. please... she, i mean they, are overrated (hahahha sorry. had to do it.) i must agree with mustang on this. I think it'd be smarter to save up for it instead of trying to fit it into (what is obviously) a very tight budget. I like celica's, and the MR-S is a nice car. But don't get a mustang. Too many of them and I really think they are overrated. What kind of honda you looking for? Maybe prelude(SP?)?

I'll save until the dead of winter... then when there's 2' of snow on the ground and convertibles aren't moving at all from dealer lots... then I'll try to get an MR-S dirt cheap. f00ie on a buick! jynxed is jynxed... I already got my MR2... if I don't get another one its not the end because I got the one that's hardest to get! I hang out at this one dealership so much that first they started letting me play w/ the cars (like put the tops down on convertibles on the nice days and move them around some too)... maybe if I work on my ppl skills I could become a destible car salesman too! Though I'd rather wash, wax, and detail them instead of selling them. the MR-S is my best bet... if I give these dealer guys too much more guilt I think they'll give in and just give it to me :P The only thing wrong with it is it has a tiny windscreen compaired to older MR2s. Last thing: why is it that when I want good book recomendations I get 2 replies and when I say that I'm going to go do something that is most likely quite dumb I get lots of replies? (i.e. go tell me what books to buy! I read all the ones I own and many of them 2-3 times!) COLORS!

Cuz with books its not much money to buy them with but when your talking about a car, over and over again, we just want to help ya and not see ya waste your money and help you.
