I am sorry. I still don't believe you. The only way that you could convince me that you are indeed the BR that has been posting here the last 3+ years is to tell us something that only we would know. Something that has happened or that we would know from outside of the forums.<br><br><br>I can not take your word for it for several reasons:<br><br>You show up out of nowhere making this claim.<br><br>If you are the same BR that we've known for the last 3+ years, you've not mentioned this other account, nor have you mentioned anything related to the other forum.<br><br>The IP's associated with the account BlackRider are logged on our forums. I do not see an IP that is even remotely close to one associated with Watcher of darkness.<br><br>You make a claim out of nowhere, and don't mention anything about knowing us, our friends or anything of that nature... even though our Black Rider has been posting here for more than 3 years.<br><br> <p></p><i></i>

Perhaps Watcher misunderstands the difference between Global and Local accounts. It's a common enough point of confusion. Regardless, OUR black rider would certainly know, for example, that he's posted here more recently than this thread.<br>Also, if you read the thread, you'll notice that BR was rather embarassed about the whole incident and wouldn't really want it aired out yet again.<br><br>I've yet to see any attempt at proof on your part, Watcher, like answering the AIM question above, etc. Explaining motivations and making excuses is just blowing smoke. A little less umbrage and more of the requested facts, please. There does seem to be something amiss with the account associated in that other forum, especially since it links to our BR's profile page, but read the very forst post in this thread, and read the post from the other BR. I'd have to agree that absolutely the most convincing evidence I've seen is the IP addresses. BR's post in a thread I made yesterday comes from the same IP as his last post in this thread, which has been a while (October?). Watcher's, on the other hand, jumps around an awful lot and is nothing like BR's. <p></p><i></i>

Hello everyone. I am Tarelth, a member of the Frost Knights clan. I would like to personaly appologise for the confusion here. I do not have any of the answers, but I will do what I can to help get them. I am a harrassment investigator for multiple clans and online communities, and have some experience with disuputes over who posted what.<br><br>A person visited our clan, at the link Watcher provided, under the account of BlackRider. This is the same account as the BlackRider that is here. A global account, created in. I can say, with near-complete certainty, that the person controlling the account at that time is NOT the BlackRider that posts here. Spelling errors and writing styles don't come anywhere near to matching. However, they DO match with the style of WatcherOfDarkness.<br><br>Now, as for a connection between the accounts of Watcher and BlackRider... The only evidance of ANY connection is in that post by the BlackRider account and a later post by Watcher warning my clan about this supposed 'hacker'.<br><br>From my perspective, it looks really odd... but, there is one theory that comes to mind. I do not know watcher, so this is all speculation: One possibilty that comes to mind is that the person controlling the account WatcherOfDarkness is a young (under twenty) person who has heard about the threat of identity theft on the news and other media. This sticks in his head and he decides to give it a shot. He find a name he likes, BlackRider, and decides to try and steal it. He comes up with a poor plan to have ezboard give him the name, claiming the person who now controls the account is a hacker and took it from him. Being young and not fully undersanding how things work, he does not realise that his lack of knowledge, poor spelling, and different writing style would give it away. He would not have done research into who each of you are, or BlackRider's history, not thinking that it would be needed down the road. The biggest hitch in this theory, that I have, is the post by the BlackRider account... it's clearly the same style as Watcher, but it doesn't match anything else.<br><br>I'll continue to see what I can uncover.
