However, the whole Janet/Justin thing has been all over the 'net since yesterday afternoon. I got video, I got hi-res pics, and I got the feeling that the two of them dreamed it up alone. Body language says so, anyway.<br><br>FYI: That's <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--><em>not</em><!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> a pasty Janet's got on.<br><br>And is it just me, or have our music stars been getting desperate for attention lately? You got Britney acting like an exotic dancer, you got Madonna and some other gal smooching for the camera, and now we got Janet exposing boob. Lucky for me my MP3 collection is pretty much where I want it for the time being--haven't bought and ripped a CD is a good long while.<br><br>If there's anything good about this, it's that MTV got a nice kick in the nads from CBS. No more halftime for them. Now if only MTV would curl up and die--it hasn't been good since the late eighties.<br><br> <p></p><i></i>

Labels, or the artists, have been trying to get more slutty or outrageous to boost sales. (Britney, Madonna, Sheryl Crow, etc.) The article stated that this was NOT the way to boost sales, at least in a war-time situation, and noted that "serious" artists with supposedly heart-felt or down-to-earth lyrics, etc. are the ones making the big sales now.
