Actually, maggots <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--><em>are</em><!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> used in hospitals to eat dead flesh.<br><br>It's either have a surgeon get all the dead flesh out, which can be risky, or have some maggots eat it out. The dead flesh has to be removed, otherwise you get septic or gangreen.<br><br>The maggots won't eat live flesh.
