Shazbot!

Post by XMEN Ashaman DTM »

It seems that my fan has died on my central A/C/Heat. Or maybe it's blocked inside. Either way, there is only a trickle of cool air coming out. And with it being 90 outside right now, the temperature has gone up to about 80 inside (which means the A/C is still working... it's just not blowing as hard).

Blow a fan into the air intake. Living where you do I'm sure you have a big fan on hand. At least the unit broke down before summer decided to really hit hard. It's gonna get a whole lot harder out there!
<img src="http://www.camerasupport.com/oV/mavsigr ...

Woohoo!

I checked it out and the heat exhanger inside the fan unit had iced over!

I turned the A/C off for a bit and it's starting to blow again!

Yay!

And Mav, how hot does it get in Leona Valley?

I was on base this last week and where I was at it was 105. Here in Lancaster it was about 10 degrees cooler, but man it was hot! I'm at a new desk and different building too, so I have to walk outside sometimes to go to other buildings.

Dude, it's gonna get hotter. I bet you hit 120-degrees within 3 months.

Leona Valley will be cooler than the Antelope Valley but still hot. Anywhere within 100 miles is gonna get hot unless you go to higher elevations but there aren't any within reasonable commuting distance. I would guess Leona Valley would average 5-10 degrees cooler than Lancaster / Palmdale.
<img src="http://www.camerasupport.com/oV/mavsigr ...

Asha, you need to have the system checked. Lots of times when the fluid gets low, the system starts cooling better, but it's bad for the system and indicates a leak.
