And ordered my Laptop. Don't think it'll make it in time for the LAN, unless HP finishes and ships it early. It has arrived! It arrived about 10:15 this morning, and I have been busily trying to update everything and get everything setup how I like it. It's fast, and looks cool, and the speakers on this thing are very surprising. I have a similar laptop. The 15.4 widescreen is amazing in high-gloss. A friend got the same screen in matte finish and it isn't nearly as pretty but does solve the glare problem in bright rooms. I also got the Centrino unit so my battery life is great, which is important for travelling. I have the matte finish screen, and the glare is pretty much nonexistent, which is good, because I usually work in very well lit areas, and I need to see the screen. I'm loving it so far. Installed Sp2 with no problems, and it doesn't seem to slow the system down at all with it installed. Better yet, do some "net use" commands and get into their C$ or D$ or E$ system shares though their blank(common) local administrator password.
