What insurance company do you have? Mine doesn't offer anything like that...

:lol
My insurance company is State Farm. But it's not so much the company, but the state, I think, that makes the deduction (reduction?) possible.

Now, this is funny, particularly in light of Porshe's comment - ready for part II?
As reported, I did the defensive driving thing on Dec. 31, for the insurance discount. Finished it then, got the certificate in the mail just this week.
Tonight, on the way home, I get a ticket for doing 47 in a 35 just a couple blocks fom home. Didn't think I was going that fast, but oh well. So, now I'll have to take DD again to nuke the ticket!
I haven't been pulled over in ten years or more.
*whoops. I can't take DD to dismiss the ticket because I just took it! Now I have to plead for a deferred dismissal. And, it's $137*

We don't have anything like that in MN. No DD, no getting tickets nuked, nothing. You get a ticket, you get the points on your insurance... MN sucks. But then again, I haven't been pulled over in 4 or so years, so I'm not concerned.

I've only been pulled over once, and never ticketed. I forgot to turn my headlights on after refueling and got maybe 30 feet down the street before I saw red and blue lights behind me. =)
Its kinda funny though... other than that one incident... when I'm doing stupid stuff on the roads the cops don't show up until after I'm done. *shrug* But then again I hardly ever even speed. +5 Is way too fast for me. :\ On the otherhand the dumb stuff I've done is more than enough to make up for my usual pokey driving. For example... hitting 110-115 mph on a two lane backroad (and I was the slow car in the convoy), intentionally spinning my car down a public road, 180s and 360s in parking lots, and four wheel drifting in 3 inches of snow.
So 99.3% of the time I'm a good driver but that 0.7% could get me in trouble.
But my record's clean....
(but due to age and sports car combo insurance is $1900/yr. on one car and $150/yr. on my second car)
When I lived in Texas, I did it twice

I went to txdriving.com and took the course. I had to wait at least a year in between. I almost wonder if going to an actual Saturday driving school would have been easier.
