What games are you guys currently playing?

I'll start..

Computer
  • Call of Duty
  • Painkiller
  • City of Heros
I have T2 but can't get it to work without some odd patch I can't find. I also have T:V but no one seems to play it anymore. My other T2 clan folded under with the fall and demise of the T:V support, or lack there of. still haven't finished single player. I stopped playing during the Arena part.

Console
  • XBox - Star Wars : Rebel Commando (I think thats the title)
  • PS2 - Grand Theft Auto 4 : San Andreas
  • PS2 - Lord of the Rings : Third Age
I'm sure there are more, but I don't play consoles often.

I play Gran Turismo 4 on PS2 and Live for Speed on the PC.

Otherwise, the only 'game' I play in my spare time is body work on my '85 MR2. Oh, and learning Japanese... that's actually quite a fun game!

I am playing some old classics:

XCom 2
Planescape: Torment

Finished up KOTOR2 not long ago.

No, we're not playing anything competitively right now. Can't get enough momentum behind T:V. I'm thinking either Battlefield 2 or SS:2845 might do the trick, though.

WoW on the PC, Final Fantasy I & II on GBA, and Kindom Hearts on the GBA as well. I'm looking forward to SS2845, so I can get my Herc fix in.. :D

Freespace2 every once in a while
Shogun: Total War
Homeworld 2 (though I haven't touched this one for a while... TOO addicting while working as much as I am)

All on PC, of course. :D

Asha, you play Shogun? I have the entire Total War series, and Shogun is a classic! Its the only one I still play with out modifications.

As for Americas Army, I used to play that and was actually pretty good at sniping and CQB. Then it started getting as bad as Counterstrike (maybe CS players started moving over to AA?) Then I started getting banned for sniping moving targets at 500yds+ and for clearing rooms of 6+ all by my lonesome... basically it got to the point that I had to join a clan to continue having fun. I was almost in the 10thSFG when I decided that I just didn't have the time to compete. (They were almost begging me to join after I sniped 3 of them in 3 shots from 3/4 of the way across the map while they were in full sprint left-to-right on that old snow map... forget what it was called. AND... I was only considering joining them because they had the best CQB guy I had ever seen! You could play 15 on 1 in the weapons casche map and he'd win!) Now I can't see taking to time to get IFF down again and I hate it when I FF.

Oh, and Homeworld 2 was OK... the first one was MUCH better. (IMHO)

Not just your opinion. :) Homeworld was another way-cool franchise that VUG didn't give a hoot about doing right. Not too long ago I played through both HW and HW:C, back to back. Those were compelling stories. I don't even remember the storyline from HW2 now, other than some hokey crap about the hyperdrive that doesn't fit with the first two.

I do play Shogun. :D

I used to like WC a LOT, but then cheaters started showing up with the rapid-fire grenade cheat and either ruin the gameplay or bring the server to its knees. :( WC was one of my favorite maps.

I remember being able to be the first one into the Shipping/Receiving entrance and mow down 10 folks before they had a chance. And I am deadly with the 203. :D

I've found that I like Radio Tower very much now. I also like SF Hospital (though I don't like it as much as when they had RPGs in it).

I do have FS2 as well. I think RedSirus and Atheist still have it too. That is a very fun game. I also have Allegiance, which is a very fun game too, but I like FS2 way more.

Baldur's Gate II + ToB.

... and really that's about it. I've been tossing up some old games on DosBox, though. :)

Mal'Ganis Alliance, type /whois allied tribal forces for a guild listing, and hit Kenar (Me) or Chestylaru (Stang) or Gryphen, or Ravok up, and we'll get with ya.

Any of you play city of heros? I'm getting loney with not knowing anyone personally.

I also play X2 - The Threat but I can't get it to work properly.

I've got X2, just haven't got into it yet.

Several folks around here do (or did) play CoH.
