Being a Parent defintely has its moments. Our youngest who is now Five years old fractured her elbow and dislocated it on Sunday jumping on your know what...........................a trampoline....(my brothers)

We were in Tulsa (90 minutes from home) and we decided to drive home and take another look at her arm...
It looked bad...we took her to the ER at 10:30pm and they said it was definitely fractured and possibly need surgery..got home at 2:30am

We went to an Pediatric Orthopedic today and he reccomended surgery ASAP... we did and she had two pins put in her arm today and she is now "fixed" . Ate dinner at 7:00pm tonight (24 hrs no food)

Please remember us in your prayers, we are exhausted and hope for speedy recovery..What a weekend...

Emily will get a permanent cast on Friday....

Thanks XMEN :)

Thats too bad, how did she take it?
My family we have a "play hard, get hurt, and No Blood-No Tears" Rule.
But that one definately qualifies for some tears.
Prayin for her

If it happened to my 10 year old son I would take it as stock as young boys do stupid things and get hurt. I once tried to skid my bike UNDER a parked truck because I thought it would be cool. I didn't make it.

Now that I have a daughter, 8 months old this sunday, things change. I get upset when she falls from one of her toys. She fell at her day care yesterday and got a black eye and I went nuts on them for not calling me.

To have to endure that with my daughter, it would break my heart. My wishes and prayers go out to you.

Thank you for you support,

Last weekend was very tough.. This last Friday she got her permanent cast on and she will have it on for 3 weeks. She has 2 pins in her arm that will come out at that time also...

She is doing fine but I do not wish that on anyone...

Trampolines-----BAD....our kids trampoline days are over....My oldest is sad about it but understands that implications...

I knew a guy in highschool who was a star soccer player that broke both his ankles on a trampoline. It was nasty. :(

I hope your daughter heals completely and everything works right. I've never had a broken bone, so I don't know what it's like, but it seems painful. :(

My cousin messed up her knee on theirs and had to have a screw put into it. After that they broke down the trapoline and buried it. :lol:I loved having butt wars on it though. 1, 2, 3 I declare a butt war! :D

There are so many ways that can be taken, FG.

I've never heard of a butt war...
