Well....been a year of firsts.
Divorced. Then learning to be single.
Now traded in my '91 Toyota Pickup for a 2002 4Runner Sport Edition!!! Woot!
It is stellar blue pearl and it beautiful! I picked it up with 65k miles. I am happy as a clam!!! It came fully loaded with moonroof and leather interior.
I am too happy...I just came back from cruising in the moonlight.
Pics to follow when I can get in the daylight.
Meanwhile here is a pic of a grey version of it:

Sweet!
How much was it? I thought a bit about getting one of those, but have moved more towards something with some economy. I drive about 75 miles each day, and that's straight from home to the parking lot at the compound where I work.
If I stop at the store, or go to the mall for something (or do whatever), then it can be as high as 100 miles a day. I'm racking up the miles on the Audi pretty good. But I think it's time to sell it, then go get a new car.
(Been looking at 4runners, tacomas, and jeeps for truck/suv kind of things; and subarus, toyota matrixes, acura TLs and honda accords for mileage.) I gotta have decent mileage, especially if gas is going to hit 3 dollars per gallon this summer.

You suck!
My Toyota is still running and it has 150,000 miles on it. At one time I wanted to get a 4 Runner but now I think a small car. Gas prices made me change mind.
Thinking a Honda civic or something like that.

Asha: motorcycle! Don't have to worry about weather much there in the desert.

I bought a motorcycle for the mileage. But I've got a '90 Buick LeSabre, that doesn't do too well on thew old MPG.
-Ice, that thing looks sweet. Got yourself a chick magnet!

A motorcycle would be cool. But not with the crazy drivers out here...
If you've ever seen a NASCAR race, then you have an idea of how people drive out here, except 99.99 % of them have never driven in a NASCAR race.

Hybrids were about 36,000...I got this one for $18250 minus trade-in and downpayment.

There's a local dealer advertising new 4-runners for less than I paid for my Blazer when it was new.

But Hybrids are tax deductable because they are environmentally nice... check it out.

No, they're not tax-deductible. However, you do get tax
credits for buying/owning one. There's a difference.
(Sorry, my dad is an accountant...

Also thier trying to add a chip that tells the pump when you gas up how many miles and when you drove them (hi traffic times or low). Then tax you accordingly, bcause of all the loss in gas tax revenue, being a hybrid. Sort of a damned if you do and damned if you don't . IMO, just anouther way do disway a buyer from a hybrid.

All of the hybrids I've looked at don't really have the horsepower to go from 0-70 in the length of an on ramp. I'd definitely get one though if they had more horsepower.
