Nice article on why replacing a great worker with multiple cheaper ones dooms your business to failure, specifically in the software development arena.

This man speaks Truth. This article also applies to support personnel. It's a shame most CEOs will read this and go 'bleah!'

I doubt most will read it at all, unfortunately.

I knew you'd like it, though, Bug. :)

I totally agree. A group of senior techs with "Huge.......Tracts of land"....wait a minute....another movie.... anyway....with a large amount of what I call "Tribal" knowledge, can clear out problems quickly and efficiently. While new techs or contract labor has to relearn or experience the issues that the experienced techs have already gone through....the time savings and loss of downtime are more than worth it.

But hey....stockholders need their money right???
