A bit of art...

This is what I've been doing in my spare time the past few weekends:

I just thought I'd share. What do you think? And if a few parts seem out of proportion, it's because the original sketch was drawn pretty quickly and I'm not much of an artist.

I'm glad you guys like it. The original PSD file weighs about 110 MB and has a resolution of 3510x2550 since the sketch was scanned at 300 dpi. The large size prevented me from working on it at my apartment, since I only have my old laptop there and still haven't taken my desktop up yet.

I was going to put a rusted, half-buried scout flyer in the foreground as a reminder of the Tribes 1 days, but thought of the idea only after I had done a lot of Photoshop work. I may still try to put it in if I decide to put more time into the project.

By the way, the apartment situation is much better. I managed to move out and into a much calmer room and just in time too! Right after I left, they fined the trouble-making roommates for all of the things that they've been doing (ruining the kitchen floor with skateboards, taking a hallway chair into the room, as well as several other stupid things). I didn't even have to tell them either (though I did anyway just to make sure they knew that I wasn't involved). My old roommates weren't the brightest. Whenever an inspection (such as checking the smoke detectors) was going to be made, they slipped a flyer under the door several days in advance, yet my old roommates didn't even try to hide their crimes.

Can you put that up in something like 1280x1024? I'd love to put that up as my wallpaper, but I don'
t really want it all squshed... It looks great, reminds me of some of the art in the old T1 book, and in the SS compendium.

Yeah, Hat, though I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to until the weekend. I don't have the photoshop file on my laptop here at school. It's on my home computer. Though I do have Friday off, so I'll do it Thursday night if I remember.

I have it set as my desktop now, and it looks really cool with no icons on the desktop and the windows bar hidden.. I like it.
