I know it may not be a top thing around here (or down where you all are at). But Seattle is in it for the first time. And they're a good team this year. AND they have all their players ready to go.

I say Seattle will win.

:D

Seattle thoroughly wiped the field with Pittsburg the first quarter. After that, I'm not sure what happened. :(

While I would say that the bad calls and the ref throwing flags on seattle were a bit outrageous. The Steelers played far better.

They were able to shut out Shaun Alexander near completely, which hurt them. The Steelers did the same thing to Seatle that Seatle did to Carolina in the playoffs. They shut down their best offense, the run game. Granted Carolina had both their Fullback (Foster) and halfback (Davis) out injuried and had a third string goober who couldn't run out of a wet bag.

The Rosleburger touchdown I think was a joke, as was the chop block that Hasslebeck (Quarterback) hit on Willis? who caught an interception? I've never known a Quarterback to get called for a chopblock (Tackle below the waist) before. I think it was a real bad call that hurt them.

There were numerous calls I think were BS on Seatle, the push off by Jurevicious in the inzone that caused themto have a TD taken away I think was a bad call as well. They were already moving apart and he went into scramble mode and happened to be in contact with the defender. I think if that call hadn't of happened it would have been a different game.

I did enjoy that kickoff return (dont remember his name, Willis again perhaps) that got hurt by diving over the special teams of Seatle and getting T-Boned in the back by a helmet. As he lay their clutching his back and kicking his feet I was in awe that he was hit so hard and continued playing.

My team is Carolina but I wanted Seatle to win since they beat Carolina in the playoffs. Boy was I dissapointed.

I don't think Seahawks were all that shut down, ya Alexander is good, but unlike shutting out Smith with the Panthers, the rest of the Hawks step up pretty dang well when Alex doesn't have his game. Hawks stats were all higher, they had the game pretty well, they just couldn't close.

Refs definatley weren't calling it fair... But I'm happy for Jerome Bettis and his whole hometown, first superbowl, last season thing going on... And i'm happy for Hines Ward because that truck is nice... Polamalou dissappointed me though... didn't hit anyone like he can.

The Hawks biggest staple going into the Superbowl was Alexander. He has been the forefront of all their games.

granted Hasslebeck is good and did decent in his com/att he wasn't al lthat great. His recievers didn't catch a lot and when they did got little no no yardage, with the exception of Jurivicious with a few good catches with some yards.

Steelers had the pass defense and definately the run defense going on in full. Plus with their back breaker plays and that awesome spiral from their WR (can't remember the name) and the confusing play fake where literally half the linemen shifted back for a cross pattern pass was brilliant.

I just think that Seatle was outplayed and out reffed.

I think it's a testament to Seattle's Defense that the Steelers never got a first down until into the second quarter. You just don't see that in a Superbowl.

Thanks Sharp...

Also, what is up with the refs not calling that damn horse collar tackle that the Steelers had on Alexander? (I think it was him) Happened in the first quarter real early. About ripped his head off from dragging him to the field by yanking the collar of his jersey.

Good point Asha. I think that the Hawks could have pulled it out but a few plays and a few bad ref calls had their spirits down. Everytime they showed Alexander on the sidelines he looked defeated mentally and tired. You could tell that it seemed he reall didn't want to be there. He wasn't mad but, defeated.
