If, for some reason, you can't say 'yes' or 'no'... can you tell me if I'm close?

That's what it looks like. But I can't tell for sure. The photo is pretty grainy in certain areas.

I'm sort of inclined to say no because it looks like it's missing certain key hardware. But I can't tell for sure.

It looks more like Speckled Trout though. And the placement looks more like Speckled Trout. The plane I am on probably wouldn't sit in that particular spot for long.

Here's Speckled Trout:

Here's what it looks like (before it got painted air force gray):

That's a B-52. I would recognize that anywhere.

He is working on a modified 747. It would bulge at the front.

Yep. A big bulge. ;)

Anyways, if that's a B-52, which now that I think about it, that looks more like one than Speckled Trout, then it's probably a NASA plane. Air Force B-52s don't have that color scheme. Most of NASA's planes are white.

hmmmm.... what about this one? I'd figure it would be outside, but there are some pretty big hangers out there.

What about this one? The nose is kinda blurred, so I can't tell.

BTW, that compass painted in the desert is pretty cool.

*edit* but if THIS is the one, then the above isn't quite painted the same.

Now that looks correct. :)

Good eye!

:D

The compass is redone each year. Last year NASA had lakefront offices for a few months.

That looks more like it.
