I like it all, but I would look at a standalone Sound card. Onboard audio has started to get some nice features, but I I still think the standalones offer better sound, with less CPU drain.

I just placed the order. Good point SH, might do that later...after I get some more funds.

I did change the videocard to a BFG 7600GT because of the big difference in the specs over the 7300. Cost me $60 more, but will probably be worth it later.

Now to build this next week!!!!

Ordered in some Red LED fans and a Red UV Cable sleeving kit for the wiring...Woot! I am getting excited!

I would have gotten the 7800GT or the 7900 series. Otherwise it kicks butt !

I would have...but my girlfriend requires a modicum of spendage.

The front of the case is a wire mesh that allows good airflow and will allow the red glow of the internal lighting to shine through.

The mobo is what I have a problem with. The onboard sound stinks, and there are a few other minor things with it. Asus is a good brand, true, but the AM2 is a new socket, and version 1.0 of anything tends to have issues.

The Gigabyte AM2 mobo is supposed to be quite good, though, as is the ECS.

Guess I will need to save up for a good EAX card.

Well I did find a Creative Labs Audigy 4 SE card for $42 from www.directron.com, ordered it.

Hope your board likes the memory.... I hear the deluxe board has issues with certain brands.

Ice, how much was that case, and where'd you get it? The case I have right now doesn't seem to be flowing sir very well, even with all of my fans running full blast, and I've even got all the cables tied up and routed so Air will flow through. I get Visual Artifacts when It's warm in the room because the vid card is getting too hot...
