FYI,
I have been negotiating with my friend about keeping our T2/T1 server up at his house. I am probably going to offer him $15-20 bucks a month to host it. So far it is smooth as silk. I am willing to donate $50 up front for this if you think we would use it enough.

If I do this I will probably set up an account at PayPal and solict you guys and gals for donations to help pay for it. Any donors would be given Admin rights to the server.

The server has enough power to host many other games, I was thinking that some of you might enjoy it running Homeworld, etc. for running multiplayer set of matches.

Anyway, would you donate? Would anyone be interested? Do we have another location that might be cheaper? He has a 15mb down and 1.5mb up connection.

I can donate for the server. Homeworld would be fun, or even BF2. I haven't played that with any of you guys yet. Ice, post the email for your paypal account, and I'll shoot some money over.

I don't want to use my PayPal account to collect. I had to upgrade to merchant status because of the big inrush for the LAN parties, so they take a percentage.

If it'll get used, I'll donate. For half a dozen peeps every month, I dunno if it's worth it.

If it's got the horsepower for other games, why not? Why don't we start scheduling more things like we used to? I work afternoons, but I'll try to make whatever I can when we have something, especially after my Video issues get resolved. I'm sure a lot of us have BF2, and we like to play RTS games like Homeworld... there's a lot of promise there, we just need to all bcome a little more active gamers together again. We're all still playing games, why not do it with friends again?

Heck, I could pony up a few dollars a month for that.

SH is right too. I've gotten back into some of my old games again. They're fun.

Let me jump on the bandwagon and say its been great having an XMEN server home we can go to. I will enny up for this.

Also, yeah, let's definitely try to organize regular playing times if we can. Just seeing you folks online again was enough for me to want to do T2 more often.

And you guys know how it goes, once a server is up and populated at regular times. People like SOUP-Starmage and other friends will start to drop by and 'pub' with us. If we do this, let's open it up to our old Clan buddies like .enD and LoS/SOUP - and once we get more involved with these guys, we will probably learn more about the modern day community that still exists.

I need to pay you with Paypal, though, so I can make it a monthly recurring payment. You know me, fire and forget is the ONLY way to go.

Im definately in for having regular playing times. It was extremely fun getting in there with people I know instead of just the regular public room!
