Ye Olde Ravmeister Gets a Girl

Check the ATF forums to see the photo of us over the last weekend. She is a really wonderful girl, and we are both looking at each other over the long term.
She has school to finish [she is taking food science, and will be doing FDA kinda stuff I think] and I will be getting my final physical evaluation board sometime in the near future.
She lives in Saskatchewan, Canada, and is simply an amazing person.
I was dating Ivy back in the day when I went to your LAN - but she broke up with me the day I got back from there. Ever since then, I have been looking for a good match for me, and I know I have found one with this lady.
We almost made it to Yellowstone Nat'l Park, but just fell shy of it and spent a day or two in Billings, Montana. On the way back to Minot, ND - we hit a deer along a scenic route, narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic. [I tried to avoid the stinking deer, but the dang idiot animal took two steps into the path of my car at the last moment, so I swerved into the animal, then swerved more to the left to swing the youngling away from the vehicle. All in all, it was a good piece of driving, but I really wish the dang thing had either stayed still, or moved in the other direction.. ]
The car was still road-worthy, and after some jury rig repairs, it made the trip home to Canada where her insurance can take care of it. Recommendation: the Toyota Dealership in Minot, ND has a top-notch mechanic, they have excellent service, and I am so glad they worked on my lady's car. They basically set the car to rights for the price of a light-bulb. Its people like this that inspire my customer loyalty, and I am considering going up there to buy my next car from them. Depends on the military PEB.
Even with all of this adventure, she and I had so many great times, and we were so thankful that both of us were uninjured, that the car was relatively unharmed, that the oncoming traffic made it home safe, and even that we could spend an extra day together while we effected repairs.
Hard to find a girl like that. We even joked around about it. "Yeah, I bought you dinner, gave you jewelry [my army ring], gave you money, and [wait for it] wrecked your car. Its love."
