That's right boys and girls, I'm getting married. When you say? June 1st, 2009. Missy's parents want to go to Ireland in 2008 so that's out, and she's trying to get into school to get her MBA right now, so she doesn''t want to plan a wedding and deal with school stuff. (Not to say that she isn't making plans and getting information on everything right now anyways... LOL) We're gonna go to Hawaii for our wedding/honeymoon with family and close friends, then do a reception back at home a couple months after we get back.

I asked her while we were up in Winnipeg over Labor Day weekend under the stars... Man was I ever nervous. But she said yes, and there we have it. Anyone up for a trip to Hawaii in 2009? Or better yet, y'all are invited to the reception when we have it, and there'll be more details to follow as the time draws nearer.

Thanks guys. I'm pretty excited. I've known Missy since we were in High School, and this has been a long time coming... We just needed to grow up a bit and learn what we wanted from life before we could take this step.

DK - I've been seriously considering this. But trying to convince her to do this has not been successful so far. I have some time, so I may be able to get it done before the big day, and then we can do a vow renewal in Hawaii... But then again, the date does have some significane for us, so I doubt she really wants to compromise on when our Wedding anniversary will be... But we'll see.

Try to get the image in her head of how ROMANTIC itll be to say your vows on an Hawaiian Beach or at a beautiful waterfall. Then tell her by skipping the whole wedding shabang you can afford another week or two of time on Hawaii. Pluss the stress etc. etc. etc. What the wife and I should have done. Even though we kept our wedding economical.
But Whatever yall choose Congrats mano!

Can I come do your wedding photography? Of course, you'd have to fly me there.

Thanks guys. There have been more people than you can imagine telling us to hurry up and shoot for '07... It's driving Missy nuts... But it's still exciting in a way. It'll be here before we know it, that's for sure.
