My dad wanted me to create a gallery of the better pictures (out of the 1300 or so that I took
) from the airshows that I went to this summer. I just thought I'd share. You've probably already seen a few since I posted them shortly after the Dayton airshow. This collection also includes several from an airshow hosted at a small airport next to my house.
Airshow Picture Gallery
If anyone wants the full size versions of any of the pictures, let me know and I'll gladly send them to you. By the way, the gallery was built using a program that I've been developing off and on for a year or two now. If anyone is interested, I'll see if I can't start working on it again and get a working version up.

Very nice. What kind of camera and lens were you using?

Thanks. It's a Canon Rebel XT with a 300mm lens.

Hey, I was just looking at those today! Was looking at a DSLR to get into, did some research, thought the XT looked pretty good, then found the XTi which is 10MP and addresses most of the (fairly minor) negatives mentioned in the XT review I found.
Sweet pics, btw.

Gambino - you might want to also check out the Nikon D80.

Thanks. I read a review of 5 or so different cameras in this class, but it was the XT and not the XTi they reviewed. I think the Nikon they used was the D70, too - this was writtin with the spring lineup.
I did find this one, though:

I'm really just window shopping at this point, however.
*edit*
Did some checking. Hey, that D80 does look really nice. The big selling differentiator to me is that the D80 sounds much more durable. For a $200 difference, it better have a significant advantage of that sort. Doesn't seem to have the anti-dust features of the XTi, tho.
