Okay, so I've got a bud that's an Oracle DBA and a pro photog on the side. He races MX from time to time and offered to show me how to photograph this kind of sport. Went to a local track about a week ago and came up with these. I found that it's not easy to get quality shots of this sport. This is just my first attempt and I'm hoping to get better. Whaddya think?

Ah, verra nice. These are the ones you were telling me about.

We definitely DO have to go shooting together sometime.

I like them. I refer the 2nd one in the list. Catching the dirt flying up while focusing on the rider has always been a great action shot to me.

I also like #2.

Also, you should try shooting hockey (and then teach me how). I should put up some of my pictures from a Cyclones game (brother is backup goalie, so I can bring in a camera even though US Bank Arena in Cincy no longer permits them). Then maybe you could give me some hints.

Here's a re-crop of #2. This is also one of my favorites. The colors just seem to pop on this one. I'll be getting a 16x20 printed of this on metallic paper to hang in my den.
