There was another accident about 50 miles northeast of this one, it shut down two state highways and only one person was killed.

Some of the contractors that work second shift saw the accident up close, and it was not pretty. They also said it was almost like a whiteout; you couldn't see the car in the lane next to you.

I'm safe, and I took a different route home. ;)

Now that's scary!

We just had some drizzles yesterday and there were SEVEN accidents along my route home. One lady even managed to spin her FWD on a ramp in a very odd single car accident. I'm not sure I want to be driving with all the geniuses on the roads up here when winter comes along..... time to start looking for an apartment within walking distance of campus.

IMO walking is almost always better. There are exceptions of course. :)

I was on the way to work yesterday (had some rain, which we'd not in a while) and saw a SUV that had crunched into a tree in the median. Backwards. I'd guess we had some spinning-out action going on...

Asha, I'd heard about that sandstorm wreck on the news this morning. Glad you're OK.

I gots me a video of a 'Shamal' (sandstorm) in Saudi When I was there. The video was taken in Iraq but It hit me as well in Saudi. You just see this HUGE cloud of sand heading towards the camera man like something outta Stargate.
