Update to the job search...

Okay... here's the deal so far:
I'm still in the running for one job with DCMA (www.dcma.mil), and it looks very interesting. It could be the ideal job, except they can't tell me certain aspects of it. But they seem to have written the description based on things straight off of my resume. I don't know what is taking them so long to make a decision for an interview or not.
There's a job with the Navy at Whidbey Island NAS, and that's only about an hour from my parents' house. However, I'd be on my own for a lot of things and it's a software job. Plus, there would be times where I couldn't contact anyone for days at a time (security issues). I told them during the phone interview what I thought of that and that I'd have a family when I started the job. I'd stay in a similar pay grade to what I am now, but doing work on systems I can't talk about. Plus, I'd be doing work for the Navy's version of my home office; and my home office's competition in that community. This one fell into my lap because some folks saw my resume, and when a person several pay grades above your military equivalent (O-3/O-4), you tend to pay attention.
There's another job with Boeing that I just finished the pre-interview questions for. It's with phantomworks, and the description is vague and general (https://jobs.boeing.com/JobSeeker/JobVi ... 07-1017085), so that tells me that they can't tell me what the job is for until I actually start. But Boeing pays very nicely, and there is relocation money.
So, I've got three good prospects, and a LOT more at Boeing and several at DCMA. I think I'd like the DCMA job... especially if I were assigned to ABL: I'd know where all the skeletons were! J/K :p
I know the grass would be greener at any one of the three (hey, it's in WA state!). I just wish things like this didn't take forever.
