Come in! Have a margarita or root beer? How about some fresh trout? :)

Indy game of the day

Check out "Battleships Forever." It's freeware released under the Creative Commons license.

Has a feel kind of like Darwinia. Simple vector-style graphics, for the most part, but not bad for all that. A rather complex simulation underneath.

One big caveat is that while you can target specific ship's turrets and sections, you must do so with the mouse while in motion. (No pausing to give orders.) This is not an easy thing, especially when you're trying to manage a small fleet too.

Been enjoying the game. I was finally able to beat the Leviathan mission where you have to destroy a super space station. Took long enough with only 5 minutes. Got lucky a little as one of the asteroid clouds slammed into in on the very side I was busting through (without my ships in the way).

Did the plot on easy just to see what it was like. Now have to try it on normal and get a better understanding to how to actually make use of each ships specialty.
