Exported to Europe for the rest of the Summer

Monday I hop onto a series of flights to go to Europe to spend the rest of the summer with my Brothers family. For the first week they are having me wonder about on my own starting in Athens, Greece. After four days on my own down there I'll take a boat over to Italy and reach Rome. Spend another four days there before catching up with my Brothers family in Brussels, Belgium where they live. I'll be helping out in caring for my year and a half old nephew and teaching him how to speak as well as how to use a toilet. My brothers family will also be doing some business trips during the summer which they will bring me along for. They are paying for everything on this trip that I need to live and my air fair. In preparation for the trip I've bought myself a digital camera and basic supplies needed to maintain myself while I'm over there. That also includes giving up my electric shaver for a manual razor.
I've been told not to admit that I'm an American because of the way some cultures see us. Also been told not to buy anything for women that approach me at the airport in Amsterdam. Granted this comes from my Uncle who hasn't been over there in over a decade while in the naval services.
So I'll be out of contact for most of the summer even though I will have access to computers while I'm at my Brothers place. Shortly after I come back in September I'll be returning to college for my last quarter in getting my bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. About time too since I've been in college for six years. Just hope that I get hired for a Career job that starts at the beginning of the new year. See y'all towards the end of September.

I know it's a little late, but have fun! With that camera it would make good fodder to create a blog to chronicle your journey....

Still alive over here in Belgium now. Been at my brothers place a little over a week so far. Had a lot of fun in Athens, Greece and Rome, Italy. Still working on processing the pictures. Didn't realize how much of a power hog my camera would be but I did get about 1.7 thousand pictures or so. Granted the first 20 are from home, such as picture of my new Girlfriend.
Its been interesting being with my year and a half old nephew. He's been developing some interesting skills and traits so far. Such as when movie credits are showing on the tv he will go up to the DVD player, open it, and take the DVD out then usually hands it to someone. Apparently he's been doing that for month or so but he's now picking them up by putting a finger in the middle and the other on the outer edge instead of just gripping it. He's also been more talkative but won't say "mommy" yet. When it comes to getting a parents attention he just says "daddy".
I've got about 8 more weeks before returning to the states and then shortly will have to return to OSU for my last quarter of college. Also as I mentioned earlier, I've got a girlfriend, a first for me. The bad part was we had just met 4 weeks before I left so we are currently balancing things while we are thousands of miles apart and 6 hours difference. Well I've got to get back to learning Visual Basic so I can help my sister-in-law with her work, if I can. Also help keep an eye on my nephew. If I can I will post pictures on my brothers website and like it here, maybe a while.
