Well. Half of it. My parents bought the other half as my graduation present :)

Wait wait wait... Graduation present? Aren't you the same immature kid that came in here causing all kinds of issues like a week ago? ;) Congrats on surviving HS and the notebook. :D

Hehe yeah. Believe it or not that was almost 5 or 6 years ago if im counting right. I've grown up a bit since then :). It does feel like just yesterday though.

What you're really saying is, is that the membership here is Old. I mean some of us have had multiple kids and wives in that time span.. Damn.. I really feel old now...

I was worried about buying a wireless router but I couldnt find a linksys with 6 ports that was wireless :-/. However my next door neighbor happens to have a wireless cable connection and umm... long story short. I have internet right now  .

Congrats, man!

On the router:
My brother got the linksys wireless... wrtg whatever, and it does not live up to my d-link at home. We've had problems with it and firewalls... whereas my dlink one just works. (The family and I are house hunting... and we leave next Tuesday to go back to the desert.)

We've found some, but everything is so expensive now... wow.

I really like my Linksys, but I have to admit, it can be 'picky' at times, but overall has been very solid with my mixed network of devices. (tivo over broadband FTW.)

Asha - If you think houses are expensive now, you should have seen what they were 3-5 years ago.. We've lost almost $40,000 in value over the last 3 years in our house. And most of the depreciation has been in the last year or so. Look for foreclosed homes that you can put a little elbow grease into. You'll save a ton of money, and build equity quickly. There's a home across the street from us that sold for $212,000 4 years ago, and is now in foreclosure, and the bank is selling it for $74,900. :o And it doesn't really need much other than new windows.

-Sorry about the hijack... Asha, start a new thread next time!
