Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to say that I wish each and every one of you, my friends, the best of holidays.

It has been an honor to meet and play with you. I think the greatest joy I have is to watch some of you younger guys grow up, have families, be successful, and stay alive. :)

I also want to say thank you for being there when I needed you.

It took me awhile to figure out that life is no easy task, will never be easy, and at times be extremely painful. What you have to do is savor the little, quiet times, the extra time in bed when you wake up next to the woman you love, smell her hair, see the sun rising, watch your children play, etc.

People will love you, people will hate you. Your car will break down, your bills will be late, you feel like crap sometimes. Take it all in stride. You cannot fix everything or everyone. The only thing you have control over is how you react to what life gives you. Whenever you get mad, stop and count to 10 and take a deep breath. It will save your marriage, career, and possibly your life.

Anyway, enough of my waxing philosophic, sit down tonight with a glass of wine, ponder that you have it much better than most the world tonight because somewhere on the internet, here, cares about you. You have food on the table, and a warm place to sleep.
I care about you.

Go tell someone you love them, give someone a few dollars for a meal, open a door for a lady.

Go with God and realize he is with you.

Merry Christmas,
David

Merry Christmas guys. I'll be here in OKC tonight since my flight was canceled, so spend time with your families and enjoy the little things. :D It amazes me that I've known most all of you guys for 10 years. You don't see that kind of longevity very often.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I've returned to my parents place for a few days. Have had less time with them this year since starting my job. Miss the old days when my Brother was a part of the gatherings. But he is off with his own family. I know soon I will not be able to come back to my parents like I have done in the past as I too create my life in my new world. The only constant thing in life is change. You either learn to accept it or go crazy trying to stop it. I like to think I've finally started to accept it. It's been great having this group of friends online here. First entered this community back when I was in middle school. Now to be out of College and still apart of it, it is hard to believe as so many of my dear friends have gone off on their own paths. Long lasting friendships are worth their weight in gold.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas. I can only emphasize the same sentiments in the posts above. I value each and every one of you, and I have to say that my life wouldn't be the same without you guys.

Hey guys! I'm away from home and my internet access is spotty, but I'll give a big ditto to Ice's post above. I hope you all had a great Christmas with your families.

Mine is MUCH better now.. made it home after a 32 hour delay, cleared the snow from the driveway and sidewalks, now it's time to relax!
