Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to say that I wish each and every one of you, my friends, the best of holidays.
It has been an honor to meet and play with you. I think the greatest joy I have is to watch some of you younger guys grow up, have families, be successful, and stay alive.
I also want to say thank you for being there when I needed you.
It took me awhile to figure out that life is no easy task, will never be easy, and at times be extremely painful. What you have to do is savor the little, quiet times, the extra time in bed when you wake up next to the woman you love, smell her hair, see the sun rising, watch your children play, etc.
People will love you, people will hate you. Your car will break down, your bills will be late, you feel like crap sometimes. Take it all in stride. You cannot fix everything or everyone. The only thing you have control over is how you react to what life gives you. Whenever you get mad, stop and count to 10 and take a deep breath. It will save your marriage, career, and possibly your life.
Anyway, enough of my waxing philosophic, sit down tonight with a glass of wine, ponder that you have it much better than most the world tonight because somewhere on the internet, here, cares about you. You have food on the table, and a warm place to sleep.
I care about you.
Go tell someone you love them, give someone a few dollars for a meal, open a door for a lady.
Go with God and realize he is with you.
Merry Christmas,
David
