Hey guys, I just bought me a viola - basically a support instrument for other strings, she is gonna be fun to learn. I used to play violin growing up, and I wanted to relearn something like that. The high school here has an orchestra, so I could be able to get lessons from the instructor there.

She's a beautiful instrument, and someday I hope to write music for her.

Viola was fun, but even with my long fingers I preferred the violin. I really liked being able to roll a finger for a 1/2-step change. My great uncle used to teach me to play violin... I even got a free fiddle for letting him teach me. I'd love to start playing again except I really ought to be dropping hobbies instead of adding them.

What kind of music will you study?

Well, I am at square one with her, so probably something like "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star" After all of that, I want to learn romantic solos.
