Well, kinda. I got a couple packages in the mail today.
First was a Manfrotto monopod. It's sturdy and tall, so I won't have to stoop.

And I also got a wireless flash trigger set from Hong Kong (via ebay)

Which so far I've tested briefly but nothing more. Seems to work as advertised and has the expected cheap construction, but should be sufficient. I like this particular trigger set - I can fire it via RF or off another flash, and the receiver will function as a tabletop stand or will screw onto a tripod, and has a 1/8" jack to trigger devices that don't have a hotshoe. It even came with a 1/8" to 1/4" converter for studio-type equipment, though I don't have any of that. If it holds up, I'll be happy. If not, it was cheap ($30) so not much of a risk.
