I want to write a short story to get over my current writers block so I can get chapter 2 and 3 finished of the story I am writting finished.<br><br>This short story will have nothing to do with my longer work I just needto think about somthing else.<br><br>So what I am looking for is simply somebody gives me characters and names, locations, general plot idea (suprise attack gone wrong? final stand? Heroic redemption?), anything else that you think should be included in the story. <br><br>Nothing has to be too descriptive, just enough that I can see what you are getting at. I'm not great at Tribal names (ask Bug on this one, he *must* have a primer of some sort), but here's the concept:<br><br>A aging-veteran tribal enters a battle knowing it will be his last. schweet. this whole concept can be a lot of fun. instead of being commited to a story, and making it as cool as you can. you just take a quick idea. slap it up into a story, messy or undeveloped as it is, and either keep going with it, or drop it and start another. sorta like freeform Role Playing.<br><br>i've always liked the game...and playing the game is like continually writing battle stories...just that it's impossible for someone to respawn, but they still always make good stories :P.<br><br>it would be cool however to make a story that displays the drama of some serious battle and how many soldiers really would have to die to achieve victory. and since there is no respawning...the few that are left at the end more than likely did indeed see and survive the whole thing. a few who are you typical rambo/green beret/ranger/seal types. and a couple who really probably shouldn't have survived who are just dog meat/grunts. of course you'd need to set it up nicely so it's not two huge warring factions killing eachother senselessly over a piece of fabric on a stick. <p></p><i></i>

update: School has taken its toll on me and my free time, and while I do have the time sometimes to work on quick stories, it seems whenever I have the time I lack the creative energy to write, even if I already came up with an idea I end up just looking at the blank piece of paper unable to write. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <br><br>The biggest probelms for me seem to be Names: of people, of places, of tribes/clans. the story that i had been writing focused on the training of a warrior, had the a lot of it worked out... maybe a little too much, cuz i'm sure some of it is actually already specified to be a different way. i dunno... should i just slap up what i have down even if it's not in story form, and you guys can take it, modify it, and expand on it?.<br><br>it's been so long since i touched it i think i'm starting to change my mind on some of it, which is good. if ya want the material, just say so and on e of these days i'll put it up, probably start a new thread so it's out of the way. does AB or scorch have msn or aim?
