Connection problems with Quake3 Engine Games

OK this happened to me on Any Half Life series, so i gave up on that crapolina. BUT!! now it's happeneing on my JKII I cannont for the life of me play online. I even tried hosting a server and got a connection interupted accross my screen on my own server. WTF! HalfLife uses a (heavily) modified Q2 engine, not the Q3 one. I am pretty sure they both Q2 and Q3 use similar netcode. I am wondering if any one else is experiancing the same thing. What kind of 'connection problems' do you mean, exactly? I mean, HL is famous for it's atrocious netcode. Though I *would* expect far better for Q3. I connect and while I am in Observer mode I can watch configure my dood and observe people but as Soon as I click in the game BAM@!
