so far this is what is available to me, SDSL, Guaranteed to always be 192up/192down bizness class DSL connected directly to the backbone. Install is free, equipment is 300 after rebates, and then 109.00 a month? If you have not already...keep calling. You might find a better deal. I pay $70 a month for IDSL 144 up and down. So I am close to you. Mine will support 4 computers playing Tribes over the internet. "DSL connected directly to the backbone" is just words that sound good, doesn't really mean anything. Equipment is usually free, or under $100 bucks And the monthly price for those speeds would be under $50 in a more accesable neighborhood. But since it is so difficult for you to get high speed where you are, your going to have to decide if you want to bite the bullet. For comparison: My home speed is 768down 128up for $50 a month. The direct to backbone crap is only valid if they're a Tier 1 provider. Possible, up there, but there aren't that many of them. I work for a national telecom company and we just recently acquired Tier 1 access.
