Moving a CPU to another mobo...
If I move my new AMD64 3200+ from one MB to another, will I have to replace the thermal whatchawidgie between the CPU and the heatsink? Its only been together for a couple hours and hasn't been turned on yet.

The age of the goop matters less than the coverage.
You need a thin, even layer between the CPU and the heatsink. If you can manage that with what you've got, fine, if not, then you need to replace it.
Usually if you're taking the HS/fan and the CPU together, you're fine, especially if you've still got just the semisolid pink factory stuff on there from AMD - it doesn't bubble much.
