Well, it helps if you've had previous experience on a project from planning to development to QA to support. Because if you do it yourself you'll be doing all of that. One way to ease into it is to subcontract a chunk for someone else who's doing a project. That can be a company or an individual. My dad did some freelance programming... wrote a program for Elder Beerman (retail chain) Almost entirely at home work... you're in a good spot if you've someone funding your project throughout and not just paying for the final product... but that does usually restrict you to one (1) client. but for a small taste of freelancing... try out the shareware market... small, but good experience (I've never completed a project big enough to sell :P I'm working on it though)<br><br>Its all the disadvantages of having to be boss and little of the imagined freedom...
