I actually think that our 2 year drought is over. *sigh* I tried to get on T2, 4 times, and it froze. I am beginning to think its the HDD. I have ran a disck cleanup, defrag, no problems. Installed my camera program, and software, no prob. Watched DVD's, surfed the web, sent email, burned a cd, no problem. All this was done in the past 48 hours, without a single issue. I start up tribes, and my PC has froze 6 times in the past hour. Could it be the HDD??? I also disabled the Nvidia Driver help Service in XP, as someone made that reccomendation. I will go and pick up a new HD, just not a maxtor this weekend I guess. Can I come over? And can ya ghost my drive so that I dont loose anything? I will probably burn a cd of all the stuff I dont want to loose, so we can do a clean reformatt. *sigh* <img src="http://home.attbi.com/~peter_aquino/Subparsig.jpg" border="0">

Getting completely rid of that stuff would be a good idea if he's not using it. Also, it's not your drive or a hardware problem; it seems to be Windows drivers. One thing you can try is to boot in safe mode, go to device manager, and delete everything you can. Then when you reboot it'll re-detect everything. Sometimes this works, sometimes not. And there are a few system devices than you better not delete, like clock, pci controllers, and hard drives. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> System not work too well if you do.... Oh, when it re-detects, you don't have to find all the driver disks.
