Why didn't someone say Hey "idiot, Run the Add a Network Place Wizard!"<br><br><br>W00t AT any rate I have the upstairs computer reading my downstairs one. !!!!!!!! which means I can use the downstairs printer from upstairs, access all my files, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. But in order for me to do that from the Downstairs I have to install something from the Word 2000 disk Which I can't seem to find of course. HRM wonder why.<br><br>At any rate Thanks for all the HELP guys. <br><br>BTW, Still not to clear on the way the address work. The format is called UNC (Uniform Naming Convention, or some such)<br><br>The double-backslash indicates that the next word is the computer name. Then after the next backslash is the share name.
