T2 problem as of late...

Sometimes when I log into tribes, and start browsing the main pages, it'll say to me "Connection Failed. The IRC Server did not respond." Normally, this wouldn't bug me, but it comes up every two minutes or so, including when I'm playing the game! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\"> What's more, whenever this crops up, I can't access my buddies list either. I've tried deleting my DSOs and the like, I'm using PJ's latest package. Any ideas? Maybe your connection is failing and the IRC server is not responding? It's them, not you. It's happened every time I've logged on in the past two weeks (which is, well, maybe three times). I've even tried closing the Chat window. Do any of PJ's scripts use IRC for the buddylist or anything, or does the list normally use IRC? PJ's does use IRC for the Buddylist. It's part of his in game chat feature. I intentionally got a version of PJ's pack before he started using Writer's. I typically don't like these "api layer" packs; I think it slows things down and tends to be more error-prone. But they still require the Writer's (or whatever it is) scripts, don't they? PJ's doesn't, the reason most scripts require writers, is because they use Writer's script interface to configure options instead of creating their own qui. Alright, thanks guys. I'll wipe the scripts and try it again without the buddy thing.
