DVD file conversion help needed

I am trying to take over as lead tech for our Childrens ministry at church. It is heavy into multimedia and I've been running the program for a while now. Problem is the lead tech is leaving and went on vacation as well. I need to actually convert the lessons from the source DVD and CD and put it into MediaShout. I need to rip the video files using Windows Movie maker but it doesn't accept .VOB files, so I need to convert these files into .WMV(I think) files for MediaShout.
How do i do this?

Eep. Sorry, I don't have time to research that just now - I'm supposed to be on the road this minute, leaving on vacation. You might look at the demo of the Nero suite, I know it has a lot of media conversion stuff and has a limited-time trial. Haven't had a chance to play with those features in my copy yet.

Have you looked at a program like dvd copy? Or DVD decrypt?
If you do either of those, you should be able to decrypt the dvd, then reencode it in the WMV (or whatever) format you need.

Grabbing DVD Decrypter, hopefully this works for me.
