"This a browser plug-in for Internet Explorer. This means that the TopText software cuddles up in Internet Explorer's process; from the outside, no-one can tell if either native Internet Explorer code or TopText is communicating to the Internet.
After installation of Toptext, network traffic logs revealed that there was unusual HTTPtraffic between Internet Explorer and a foreign server, each time the user navigated between URLs. I was serious about Firefox. I use it almost exclusively; there's only a few things I have to fire up IE for once in a while.

It's considerably less vulnerable to spyware, at least for the time being, as well as other hacks.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p090.ezboard.com/bxmenclan.showU ... ambit>XMEN Gambit at: 10/5/04 4:56 pm

I just got the Beta 1.0 Client, and it's great. Been using Firefox since v0.5 and I love it.

"Never, Never, Never Quit" -Winston Churchill

As much as I loathe the "Drop M$ and join Linux because we're not 3VIL!" bandwagon, I gotta agree that Firefox is an excellent browser, and I'm using it for practical, rather than "Political" reasons. Good stuff.
