I know many of you dont even know what a Play By E-Mail Simulation *is*, and some of you don't even like Star Trek; but all that aside, I am GM'ing my own PBeM Simulation game, and would like you all to come down if you are interested.

Its a brand spanking new boat, and meant to encourage science fiction writing of all kinds. I know some of you really enjoy writing, and believe it or not, so do I.

goto: ...

For the basics. I suspect very much like the old OKL, but with more rules... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">
XMEN member
Card-carrying DTM
OKL Fish-napper

Though a program be but three lines long,
someday it will have to be maintained.
- The Tao of Programming
Life is complex; it consists of real and imaginary parts.

[Mission] Engage! [Chapter] A New Vessel (R- General)
"To Break a Bottle of Wine"
By Shane as Captain Athlen

It was his first Command, and he was in awe of his responsibility. A new vessel! She hadn't even been christened; her mission was still unknown. His orders were simple, report for ceremonies in Dress Uniform and make a speech at the reception later on that evening. Everything else was all but routine.

The vessel was being built deep within the Klingon Empire under a great amount of secrecy, and Jeremy Athlen was being ushered through sectors of space rarely seen by humans. There were still some walls between the Federation and the Empire, but in the last few years of fighting alongside each other, a mutual respect was being formed between the two governments; and the two peoples.

After weeks of soaring through the stars, the Captain was ready to see his ship.

What a site she was. A Sovereign class surrounded by the green Klingon umbilical docking clamps, there were still sparks flying off her hull as the final preperations were being made.

"Captain, the transporter room is ready and waiting." The gruff voice of the Klingon couldn't hide his happiness. He did not like a human aboard his vessel for so long. Humans still had honor to serve for Koraq to welcome them.

"On my way."

-----

"Energize."

The world shifted and turned, and in a flash, Jeremy was getting his bearings on his new duty station, the V'ri Shipyards.

"Welcome, Captain." He was greeted by a high ranking Federation uniform this time, what a relief. The Bolian's blue skin and bald head were a much needed break from all the Klingon chainmail.

"Thank you, Commodore."

"I will escort you to the ceremonies, as you are the last to arrive. It is a strange human custom, smashing a drink against the hull."

"Quite strange. I wonder where they got it from?" The Centauran replied.

--- Later ---

"I christen thee, Sacramento!" And the woman broke the bottle to the cheers of the crowd, even Jeremy Athlen voiced his hoorah. It was not often one a moment like this passed.

After the ship was christened, Captain Athlen was discreetly approached and handed a PADD. "These are your orders. Good luck, Captain. I hope you have a short speech."

With that, Jeremy's life was altered forever.

[Ravok-99]
Proud Member of the THZ*
Proud Member of the XMEN
Proud to be a part of the Dragon Talon Mercenaries

Re: [Mission] Engage! [Chapter] A New Vessel (R- General)
After the "email" goes out to a list, it gets sent to everyone's email address that is on said list. Everyone gets to read it, and become a part of the action. They all post their own perspectives of the event.

Its very open ended. Free write anything you like about coming aboard, who you meet, what you will do. That sort of thing.

And then "behind the scenes" I give everyone their first orders, and our first mission begins!

[Ravok-99]
Proud Member of the THZ*
Proud Member of the XMEN
Proud to be a part of the Dragon Talon Mercenaries
