BF 1942 work in progress
From their website, this is what they're working on (emphasis added):

Quote:
As it stands our "To Do" list is pretty big.

At the top of the list:
- Linux Server
- 1.2 Patch
- Map Editor
- Mod Tools

We also have some updated information about the top list items. The Linux Server is currently going through the debug process and we're working hard to get it out as soon as possible. The 1.2 patch will address many of the issues which have been brought up on the forums and boards concerning bandwidth optimization, client prediction tweaking and general stability... The patch will also deliver the highly anticipated Map Editor.

XMEN member
Card-carrying DTM
OKL Fish-napper

Though a program be but three lines long,
someday it will have to be maintained.
- The Tao of Programming
Life is complex; it consists of real and imaginary parts.

It is nice to see that they are still supporting the game. Let's just hope that it does not go the way of another franchise we all know, and it gets all fux0red in the process.

Why Do I Always Die?!?!?!?!
"Manly Men, Unite!" -XMEN|Ambush Bug[DTM]

Actually DICE, the developers, have been really very good about supporting the games they've released. They recently released an update for Codename:Eagle, the precursor to BF1942, that was originally released 3 years ago! Long after the publisher dropped support.
It seems likely that they'll do the same for BF1942 considering the higher number of players and the glowing reviews it has gotten.
-LoS-Fyunch Click (SoUP)
-----Master of Stew-----
Forum Lurker and Thread Hijacker Extrodinaire
