Super Powered BGII ToB Character
I have been experimenting with different options to create the character that will do the MOST damage in a single hit within the game. The result? An Assassin/Fighter dual classed Human.

With nothing more than 18's in the Big Three STR, DEX, CON: This character did a backstab with a normal Katana at 200 pts of Damage!! WOW!!

The trick is to get your Assassin to Level 21-25, depending on what you want to do. Get him/her to a x7 multiplier, then dual class and work your fighter up to a level 26 fighter, barely able to pull it off!

I like the assassinate option, because you can pull your backstab multiplier off for as many times as you hit within a certain amount of time. Basically insuring death to whatever you want to kill.

Next I choose use any item. Having a Thief use the Staff of the Magi is just too wicked not to use. Invisibility at will, the thief can scout out a terrain with no problems whatsoever.

Now the fun is creating your character. I really enjoyed using a true neutral character in this one. You can play the game a number of ways while remaining true to your alignment. And its nice to finally get your plain old fighter to a position of true awesome-ness once you finish the dual class.

You will probably export this character and import him/her a number of times to explore different aspects of the game while you build her experience points. You may want to try to run the character straight through the game. Either choice is acceptable.

By the time you reach Throne of Bhaal, you will want to reach a point where your plain old Fighter can do something else with his time. A perfect situation for polishing off your dual classed Thief.

XMEN[Ravok-99]DTM
Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub3.ezboard.com/uravok99.showPu ... 9 at: 3/22/02 2:53:24 pm

If you are interested in pursuing an even more disgusting character than this one, may I guide you to the Kensai/Thief combo.

At level 23, the thief can 'Use Any Item', making the restrictions of the Kensai class go bye bye. Basically, you can create a really evil Assassin.

Build up a level 24 Kensai, beating the original game with your Kensai fighter. That in itself is a huge challenge, but a lot of fun. Then dual class her at lvl 24. Now use a bow with your thief and keep him in the back, he's there to learn. No armor makes a pincussion for your thief if you put him up front. I would use Greater Whirlwind attacks for your Kensai. Make use of all those to hit/damage bonuses.

Build up your thief as normal going through the Throne of Bhaal. He'll move up in ranks quickly, if he survives. Its a lot of fun there, too, because you really have to be tricky with your thief to keep him alive.

Once he reaches lvl 23, pick 'Use Any Item', at 24 and 25, I like to pick Assassin, Time Stop Trap.

At level 25, you will have one heckuvan assassin on your hands. With plenty of room for customization to get the full character that you want. Whatever weapon combo you want to use is fine. Its a Very versatile character.

XMEN[Ravok-99]DTM

You just don't have a lot of game left to use him in. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">
XMEN member
Card-carrying DTM
OKL Fish-napper

Though a program be but three lines long,
someday it will have to be maintained.
- The Tao of Programming
Life is complex; it consists of real and imaginary parts.
