I am really enjoying this game. I have a Woodland Elf named Sariellen Lightbow - and when she isn't packing the bow, she switches to a Claymore and woops!!

I have an agility score of 85 LOL Learning archery has been fun, because the arrows have a true arc to them, and you have to gauge the distances properly to use it right.

I am just now entering Baldera, and I am so impressed with the system that I just sit and giggle.

<img src=

LOL I re-rolled the Archer to be a Nordic Adventurer/Fighter-Mage and switched the sexes.

I am really looking forward to developing him into a weapon's smith. Enchanting his own equipment. <img src=

Enchanting your own equipment is very difficult. Whenever I want to make equipment, I usually just pay someone to enchant it for me. Yes it costs obscene amounts of money, but there is a scamp in Ghorak manor in Caldera that buys everything at full price and has 5000 gold. Every time you wait 24 hours all of his gold will return, so if you have patience you can sell glass, ebony, and daedric equipment to him and the whole cost of the thing (as much as 90k) if you do it right. As for enchanting, first you need to have your enchant skil high, which you can only do with using enchated items. I keep all enchanted rings I find because they are light and use them solely for leveling enchant. Next you need to have the spell(s) you wish to enchant the item with, but that's not too difficult usually. Lastly you need a soul gem. A soul gem with a trapped creature in it determines the amount of charges the item will have. You can only make continual effect enchants if you have a golden saint or an ascended sleeper in a grand soul gem. Still I find that most of my enchants fail.
<img src="

Thanks a lot for the education, AngelFlayer. <img src=
http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> I have always wanted to create a Blacksmith character, and no matter the difficulty I am going to keep at it until I figure out if and what kind of shortcuts can be found for enchanting items.

Anyways, every roleplaying game ever designed makes Blacksmithing a very difficult task - except the new online MMORPG's like (possibly) Star Wars: Galaxies that seem to encourage you to create your own items.

One can make a Nord with 55 health and 60 magick with 180+ Fatigue. To me, that spells out a good Blacksmith, because to trap a soul you have to kill it with a Soultrap spell in effect. So, you need to be either great at spellcasting, or good at soldiering.

*Sigh* There are a lot of class potentials that take a LOT of time and effort to learn, and even then, I am never sure if I have the right mix of Might and Magic to do what I want to do. It is definitely a fun experiment, though.

<img src=

You don't need to be good at magic to trap souls, just have scrolls of "Someguy's gemfeeder" Soultrap 60 seconds on target. They're quite common, and available at most mages guilds I belive.
<img src="
