And it was rather, um, intense.<br><br>If you ever played through the single-player story of Half-life, it is in some ways a shadow of this. Yikes. All the action and much more character development going on, and not just two groups of "bad guys" to deal with (the black ops and the aliens), now you have two unstoppable forces to stop. Plenty of scare-your-pants-off surprises around lots of corners, both scripted and unscripted.<br><br>Yes, it's an old game (1999), but the graphics aren't bad at all. And it's kinda tough, too. I played on only the second of four difficulty settings, and it was still hard. Replayability? I didn't get to try near the number of things I'd have liked to. Indeed. I bought it when it first came out at full price, and I still don't regret it. I played the demo... but forgot about it before I had the money to buy it.
