Re: Overclocked to 3200+ speeds!
Spend about $150 down here at Fry's and we can get you up to almost 3Ghz before the LAN! <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p><table border=0><tr><td><embed align=left src=http://www.thzclan.com/avatars/ezice.swf menu=false quality=high bgcolor=#000000 width=217 height=166 type=application/x-shockwave-flash pluginspage=http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/dow ... <td><table border=0 style='Filter: Shadow(Color=#BB1403,Direction=255)'><tr><td><span class='usertitle'>XMEN Iceman [DTM]<br>Founder and Leader of the Base Tribes XMEN Clan<br>Proud member of the Dragon Talon Mercenaries teamplayers Guild<br>Citizen of New Fenecia<br><br>You weren't much of a challenge - T2 bot after killing Iceman<br><br>- click on avatar for links - no, not sausage links!</span></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></p><i></i>

Re: Overclocked to 3200+ speeds!
Well Fry's always has a motherboard and processor combo on sale. Usually like a 25-2800+ processor and motherboard for like $70-80 and throw in some Kingston PC3200 memory for another $50-70 and you have a nice little system. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p><table border=0><tr><td><embed align=left src=http://www.thzclan.com/avatars/ezice.swf menu=false quality=high bgcolor=#000000 width=217 height=166 type=application/x-shockwave-flash pluginspage=http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/dow ... <td><table border=0 style='Filter: Shadow(Color=#BB1403,Direction=255)'><tr><td><span class='usertitle'>XMEN Iceman [DTM]<br>Founder and Leader of the Base Tribes XMEN Clan<br>Proud member of the Dragon Talon Mercenaries teamplayers Guild<br>Citizen of New Fenecia<br><br>You weren't much of a challenge - T2 bot after killing Iceman<br><br>- click on avatar for links - no, not sausage links!</span></td></tr></table></td></tr></table></p><i></i>

Re: Overclocked to 3200+ speeds!
I am just using the factory fan and heatsink...but I have like 5 fans in the case, plus the 2500+ Bartons seem to handle the heat real well. <br><br>If you use Motherboard Monitor to watch the temps I think you could play with the FSB some to see what you could get out of it. If you start getting over 150 degrees F then I would shut it down and look for alternative cooling. <p><table border=0><tr><td><embed align=left src=http://www.thzclan.com/avatars/ezice.swf menu=false quality=high bgcolor=#000000 width=217 height=166 type=application/x-shockwave-flash pluginspage=http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/dow ...

I don't even like to let them get that warm. <br><br>Ferret, we'll play with it when you get here. Whether you need special cooling depends on how much you overclock. Your system could easily become unstable before it gets warm. <p></p><i></i>
Re: Overclocked to 3200+ speeds!
Can you really overclock a 3200? I thought 3200 kinda max'd out the multipler which only leaves voltage or maybe upping the memory bus if your memory can handle it? <p></p><i></i>

Re: Overclocked to 3200+ speeds!
Ice.. Do I have to change the jumper on my mother board to 400 or do I leave it at 333? I set my speed up in the BIOS to 200 making it 400. My Barton 2800 is a 333. <p><!--EZCODE IMAGE START--><img src="http://home.comcast.net/~richardwentwor ... <!--EZCODE IMAGE END--></p><i></i>

Which motherboard you have? I will need to go to their website and look. <p><table border=0><tr><td><embed align=left src=http://www.thzclan.com/avatars/ezice.swf menu=false quality=high bgcolor=#000000 width=217 height=166 type=application/x-shockwave-flash pluginspage=http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/dow ...
