Post count
Just curious why my post count is so low. I'm guessing that it's a conversion issue. On the old board I had a post count over 2,500, but here it's under 200.

You'd be correct.
For one thing, the converter doesn't import stats. So for starters, any posts you made that ended up being deleted or purged for housecleaning wouldn't have been counted. Posts in forums that were not converted were also not counted. (Weep for our lost Humor forum!) I'm sure there are other issues involved, but frankly I'm just thankful that the converter worked as well as it did.

Ezboard only save 20 pages worth of posts, anything older is automatically pushed off to never never land. Ezboard always just adds 1 to your postcount when you post and didn't verify against actuall posts. phpBB actually counts how many posts you have on the board within those 20 pages.
I think if you delete a Porsche post from ezboard it doesn't affect your post count on ezboard. On these boards, you delete one, it will reduce your post count by 1.

The converter simply reads all of the posts in the old forum, and makes new posts in the new forum. These posts obviously count toward the posting total in the new board.
Yes, you can use your old EZBoard account name to log in here (the converter created it for you), but you need to log in with the password I sent to your thz email account.

Of all of the posts imported to these boards from ezboard (11930 of 39160 because 27230 were deleted by ezboard), only 175 of them are your posts. These are all the board can calculate for, it can't guess how many of your posts have been pushed off ezboards 20 page limit.
The post count doesn't just increment a number in your profile, it checks against actual posts existing in the database.
I would guess that most of your 2000+ posts were in the general forum, which currently only goes back about 1 year. Whereas Gambit with his high post count probably had a lot of his posts in the private forum which goes back about 5 years.
I am glad Gambit finally set up these boards, they are so much faster and you wont lose any more archives.

I meant that losing the Humor forum was a prime factor in the decision to dump EZBoard, but come to think of it, Porsche did post an awful lot in Humor, didn't he?
Let's see: "The Laughing Lamborgini," "Hysterical Honda," "Chuckling Chevy," "Funny Ferrari"...
How can we also allow Porsche an appropriately alliterative alias? "Boisterous Boxter?" "Crazy Carrera?"
?
