The EFF has published a list of cool gadgets that are extinct or endangered by laws and regulations favoring content providers and chewing up your fair use rights as a consumer.

hehe, I have an early ReplayTV, no monthly guide fees that the current ReplayTV and Tivo have.

No way am I gonna pay so TiVo can monitor my TV watching. I'll build an HTPC.
