Getting your wisdom teeth removed is not so bad...

Come in! Have a margarita or root beer? How about some fresh trout? :)

Getting your wisdom teeth removed is not so bad...

...but the recovery sucks! I felt better when I stoped taking the pain meds because the side effects were so bloody awful. (but then again I never took the other pain meds because they said I couldn't drive while on them... I can't live with that.)

The only bad thing about the actual operation was when I could feel them cutting through the nerve when they were sectioning the last tooth. (They cut each tooth in half before snapping it out.) Recovery was another story. I turned into Mr. Poofyface and if it wasn't for the sorta-beard the bruising would have had most people thinking I got into a fight. Then there was the not being able to eat anything... while my mom cooked all of my favorite foods for everybody else. :( I'm just glad I can eat again!

It depends on how much cutting they have to do.

I had one impacting my molars and it had to be taken out, so I did all four. Only the other three were very deep. I got some NOX and was fine, I actually woke up during the operation and I was shocked to see and feel my mouth all stretched out, and feel the surgeon in my mouth with a pair of pliers twisting back and forth on my tooth. It was also very bloody.

I opted for local anesthesia... just like when someone's working on my car: I want to keep an eye on what they're doing. I don't care how many fancy papers this guy has on his wall... I could never completely trust a man who has a rotory cutter in my mouth. :)

The bottom two were growing forewards into my molars. The top two were growing out to the side and bothering my cheeks. So I had it don't the usual way... last second. :P

I love NOX.
:D

We got to administer it to each other during a sedation class.. It feels like a "two-beer buzz" as one of my instructors put it.
